Berwick’s A & J Scott-sponsored speedway Bandits – having been apparently poised to roar into the closing months of the season with a settled, successful squad – find themselves yet again forced into team changes after losing star man Adrian Rymel to serious injury.
As of Monday afternoon, the situation regarding our injured riders is as follows
Despite earlier reports Bandits’ number one, Adrian Rymel did not undergo surgery on Saturday in the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, but it was confirmed that he has a broken bone in his neck following the crash at Armadale Stadium on Friday.
Berwick Bandits’ visit to Edinburgh last night ended almost before it began.

After two false starts to the opening race – the first of which saw home rider Ryan Fisher disqualified for crashing out on the first turn – it was third time unlucky for Berwick’s No 1, Czech star Adrian Rymel.
Berwick’s A & J Scott-sponsored speedway Bandits – having proved themselves as the best team in the north over the past two months – will be aiming to add to their trophy cabinet on Saturday, when a powered-up sloth of Redcar Bears come to Shielfield Park.
