Despite earlier reports Bandits’ number one, Adrian Rymel did not undergo surgery on Saturday in the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, but it was confirmed that he has a broken bone in his neck following the crash at Armadale Stadium on Friday.

Berwick Bandits’ visit to Edinburgh last night ended almost before it began.
After two false starts to the opening race – the first of which saw home rider Ryan Fisher disqualified for crashing out on the first turn – it was third time unlucky for Berwick’s No 1, Czech star Adrian Rymel.

Berwick’s A & J Scott-sponsored speedway Bandits – who thrashed Newcastle Diamonds last Saturday, and have already beaten Edinburgh, Redcar and Glasgow on aggregate this season – have now to demolish Workington’s Comets this weekend to prove themselves the best team in northern speedway.
